Welcome to my website!

I am a PhD Candidate at Auburn University, currently in my 4th year. My research focuses on development economics. My current research examines how socio-economic identities impact economic outcomes and how natural factors, such as rainfall, influence wages through their impacts on labor supply and demand. My work primarily explores these themes in the context of India.

In addition to my primary research, I am involved in several other projects: analyzing landowner conservation behavior in the United States, investigating market concentration and its effects on the cocoa market in Ghana, and studying the impact of land redistribution policies on economic outcomes in West Bengal (India).

I am passionate about working at the intersection of economics and sociology. I use both quantitative and qualitative research methods to answer my research questions.

I received my BA (Economics) and MA (Economics) from Jadavpur University, Kolkata (India). Before starting my PhD, I was a Junior Research Fellow at Observer Research Foundation, India's leading public policy think tank.
